A.C. Geotechnical Pty Ltd provides site classification assessments for residential and commercial projects, including new builds and extensions. Residential assessments are undertaken in accordance with AS 2870–2011.

Each assessment begins with a site inspection and soil investigation. We drill boreholes using our drilling equipment or a hand auger where access is restricted. Soil samples are then analysed in a laboratory, where required, to assess soil reactivity and estimate the expected seasonal ground movement.

Using the test results and site observations, we prepare a comprehensive report outlining the site classification, supporting data and recommendations. Where required, we can also provide soil parameters and advice for retaining walls, swimming pools and site cuts.
